2022 Whiskey and Wine Event
After a year delay, The Sierra Madre Community Foundation's Whiskey & Wine Event was held on April 2nd at the stunning Mia Italia residence. This year's event had over 21 whiskey's and 8 wines and champagnes. 165 people attended, raising $12,000, which far exceeded last event's record of $8,700! It was great to see and meet so many people whose generous donations will be used to support grants for local activities, events and programs. 2022 Wisteria Festival
The Sierra Madre Community Foundation participated in this year's Wisteria Festival by having an information booth in Kersting Ct. It was a great day with lots of families stopping by to hear about the Foundation's mission and to play around with some bubbles!
Mt. Wilson Trail Race
The Sierra Madre Community Foundation was onhand to watch this year's Mt. Wilson Trail Race. It started bright and early at 7:00 AM to avoid the heat. Kersting Court was full of people cheering the 187 participants in their challenging 8.6 mile run, shopping the local businesses, having a refreshment at the beer garden and listening to music. The Foundation is proud to support this great event!
Sierra Madre Community Foundation sponsors its first 4th of July Firecracker Fun Run!
With 170 participants, this year's Firecracker Fun Run was quite a success! The cloudy weather was perfect for the 3.2km run/walk, which was attended by adults, kids, babies and dogs. The Foundation raised more than $1,700 through enrollment fees and sponsorships. And we have exciting changes anticipated for next year!
July 3rd Block Party
The Sierra Madre Community Foundation participated in the city’s July 3rd Block Party. Look for us to attend other events including Oct. 16 when we’ll be out supporting the Mt. Wilson Trail Race.
