Meet Steve Boyle (Board Member Since 2021)

July 24, 2022

Why do you serve on the board of the SMCF?

It is very rewarding to get involved and give back. Sierra Madre Community Foundation provides and advances such a great sense of community. I’m a relative newcomer, having moved here from New Jersey, and the Foundation has allowed me to connect with many individuals I would not have had the opportunity to meet.

Where else do you volunteer?

I’m on the board of The Gooden School here in town, and I’m the Treasurer for The Wescom Foundation, a charitable organization giving away about $800k each year to local non-profits. I am also a volunteer for AYSO soccer.

What’s your profession?

Director of Operations for a wealth management firm

What attracted you to Sierra Madre?

Lucky Baldwins

How long have you lived in Sierra Madre?

What’s your favorite aspect of the town?

Love the small-town events for the whole community, including 4th of July, Wistaria Festival, Mt. Wilson Trail Race, Halloween Happenings, and the Foundation’s annual fundraiser, the Wine & Whiskey event.

What’s your favorite local restaurant and why?

Wistaria - because it’s my fiancée’s favorite

What’s your favorite local store and why?

Arnold’s all the way!  Even my dog loves going to Arnold’s for the treats

I’m getting married in November to Becky Touber, Sierra Fitness’s best personal trainer!
